Role Overview
Marketing Director leads how Untitled presents itself to the campus: brand, content, campaigns, and audience growth. You’ll either create design/content yourself or build a system to outsource it (graphic designer, photographer, videographer, etc.). This role is both strategic and creative, perfect for someone who wants to build bold campaigns and keep a consistent presence during production cycles.
Core Responsibilities
Own Untitled’s marketing strategy across the year (shows + independent projects), including goals, audiences, and campaign arcs.
Create or manage creation of key assets: posters, social graphics, story templates, reels, programs, and any show-specific deliverables.
Maintain a consistent Instagram presence during show runs (and sustain baseline posting outside of them).
Coordinate press releases and internal promotional posts for TDPS, PAAC, and relevant campus channels (often shared via External Affairs when outreach is external-facing).
Manage the website: updates, landing pages, ticketing links, and information clarity (hands-on or by outsourcing to a web manager).
Build a simple content calendar for each major project (auditions, casting announcements, ticket pushes, strike/thank-yous, etc.).
Develop creative marketing activations when appropriate (e.g. stunts, flash-mob-style moments, interactive reels, collaborations).
Create and maintain brand consistency across the season (visual language, typography, tone, templates).
Coordinate documentation assets with productions (photos/video capture plans, opening night content, and archiving).
Track what’s working (basic analytics, engagement patterns, ticket conversion signals) and iterate tactics accordingly.
Qualifications
Required:
Strong taste + attention to detail; ability to hit deadlines consistently.
Clear communicator who can coordinate with producers, directors, and external partners.
Comfort learning tools/workflows (design, scheduling, basic web updates) as needed.
Preferred (Most applicants won’t have any/all of these… Don’t worry! We’re more than willing to train the right person.)
Graphic design experience (Canva/Adobe/Figma) and/or video editing for reels.
Marketing copywriting experience and/or PR/outreach experience.
Photography/videography experience or experience managing creatives.
